If the gauge goes into the red or a warning light comes on, pull over where it's safe and switch the engine off. A few more miles on a hot engine can turn a cheap hose or thermostat into a warped cylinder head. Don't open the radiator cap while the engine is hot; the coolant is under pressure.
Then call us and tell us where the car is. We come to it, 9am to 9pm, seven days a week, and there's no travel fee.

A pressure test to find leaks, the radiator and its cap, the hoses and clamps, the thermostat, the water pump, the radiator fan with its fuse and relay, and the level and condition of the coolant. Then we tell you what failed and what it costs to fix.

Can I keep driving if my car is overheating?
No. Pull over when it's safe and switch the engine off. Driving on a hot engine can warp the cylinder head or blow the head gasket, which costs far more than the part that caused it.
Can you replace a radiator in my driveway?
Yes, on most cars. Radiators, hoses, thermostats and fans are jobs we do where the car is parked. If yours needs a lift, we tell you before we start.
Can you just top up the coolant?
We can, but if the level dropped, the coolant went somewhere. We find the leak so you're not topping it up again next week.
